Introduction Post
I am Chukwudi Onyekwere by name and my friends do call me Chucks. I am RN with over three years of clinical experience here in America, which has allowed me to understand patient care and its critical success factors. It will be a thing of joy and happiness for me, my family and friends to be decorated in that graduation gown on that faithful day as BSN holder- that is why I am here. As a Nurse with BSN, it will open a new chapter in my life and also more opportunities to be a better person and advance in the world of academics, as it has been my dream to be called a PhD holder.  Archiving this goal which i just started with you today will be a steppingstone and a strong foundation to greatness. I look forward to cooperation, support, and healthy communication.
Hi everyone! My names Clare. I live in sunny San Diego CA, with my husband, daughter, and our dog Oreo. I love going to the beach and just being outside of the house enjoying the sun. I graduated several years ago with my ADN and applied to several places. I received some job offers, but the salary was way less than what I was currently earning, and the health benefits didn’t compensate for it. Having a family, I just couldn’t afford to take the positions, therefore, I never worked as a Nurse a day in my life. I’m hoping that pursuing my BSN will make me more marketable, and will give me some type of advancement into getting my foot in the door. Looking forward to learning from everyone. Best of luck to all ~Clare

My name is Daniel Flores reporting from muggy San Diego, California. I’m currently an ER nurse at Kaiser Zion and a house supervisor at Alvarado hospital. I enjoy the many aspects of nursing and that I can be patient centered and provide one day, managerial another. I’d like to think that one of the benefits that this program has is that it allows us to merge the multiple aspects of nursing from all of our backgrounds together to see different view points in our fields. I would like to use my BSN to make my resume more marketable and also possibly go for my MBA in hopes of tying all of it together with the healthcare field and hospital management. One of my own proud accomplishments is that I feel that I’ve moved up the nursing ladder gracefully and that I can say that I’ve grown with each year with my license. I’ve been a nurse for 8 years now and bedside still humbles me which i love because it adds the humanity into our careers that some might be idle to.
Hello everyone! My name is Beverly. I currently live in San Diego, California. I am married, have two dogs, and a twenty-one-year-old daughter. I have been a nurse for twenty years and I currently work as a Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente in an Outpatient Primary Care setting. Besides being a nurse, I also enjoy cooking, dancing, singing, traveling, gardening, and being with nature.
I began my career in medical field in 1996 after getting discharged from the military (U.S. Navy). I worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant, a Lab Technician, and a Licensed Vocational Nurse prior to becoming a Registered Nurse. Since nursing practice continue to evolve, I decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing. In furthering my education, my goal is to be involve in creating and/or refining current protocols and to promote implementation of evidenced-base practices to improve patient care delivery. Aside from that, I would also like to try a career in nursing leadership or become an educator. Mainly, I just hope that acquiring my bachelor’s degree would open doors to more opportunities and possibilities in advancing my nursing career.
