Personal Statement on Accountability
Values are essential components of an organization’s ability to have employees that will help it attain its goals and objectives. However, of all the values listed above, accountability is the most important. Accountability means that one can defend their actions, decisions and even wrong choices and moves (Rubio-Navarro et al., 2020). Accountable employees serve others and ensure that there is respect and dedication. Further, one cannot be honesty, dedicated and respect the rules and other aspects of operations when they are not willing to be accountable for their actions and decisions. Honesty and perseverance emanate from one’s ability to be held accountable for their performance and productivity (Drach‐Zahavy et al., 2018). It is difficult for one even serve and demonstrate integrity when they cannot demonstrate their ability to take responsibility for either success or failure in their duties and obligations in the organization. My life illustrates several experience where accountability is essential.
A recent incident was about being late for work and having to report an hour after the start of my shift. I thank the nurse who was to handover to me because she stayed behind as she had a critical care patient. Upon my arrival, I went directly to the nurse station before changing and seeking handover notes and other important information about the inpatients. The nurse handed over well and I had to admit that she was cool and warm despite my late reporting. I apologized for having kept and listened keenly to the handover notes and instructions. I have to say that it was the most effective way of showing my appreciation and the nurse was so satisfied and motivated at my gesture.
This experience shows that one must own up their failures and get ways to rectify them for the benefit of the company or organization. In this case, it was explicit that my lateness had no justification since I never called to explain that I will be late. The experience shows that working collaboratively requires effective communication and besides that, better accountability mechanisms.

The tone of any message is extremely important. Using all capitals on a word can be misinterpreted as a person yelling or is upset. Some individuals can take it as the texter is excited and grateful. THANK YOU in all capitals can have different meanings to many people. I honestly would take it as the individual is either upset, or being sarcastic and they are annoyed. It also depends on the conversations you and the person you are having in the message is about. It is best to avoid using all words with capital letters, to prevent any misunderstanding that can cause any conflicts. It only takes one word in a message to change the reader’s perception.
When I see a message with Thank you =), I take it as the person is happy, they may have been seeking questions and you might have helped them by  addressing the information they needed. This individual is being genuinely grateful and appreciates you helping them. Everyone reacts differently to messages that is why it is important to pay attention to your tone before sending a message . Try to proofread your message, keep it cordial. Especially if it is a professional work matter.

1. Select two of these examples that you think convey different tones and explain what makes them different.?
To me, the two examples that have two different tones are “thanks a lot” and “thank you?”.  The first one “Thanks a lot” can be used in two different tones. One in a sarcastic/humorous tone and the other in a sincere tone of being grateful. Second, “Thank you?” It’s a tone we use when we are unsure of what to say when someone out of the blue is so nice to you. For me, there was a moment when my sister was so nice to me — out of the blue, she bought me a gift, which was strange to me. I didn’t know what to say but “Thank you?” because it was more like a question asking her if she was ok?
2. What is another word or phrase you’ve seen (in texts, emails, or other written communication) that can sometimes convey different tones to the audience?
There are other examples when we use text and email with different zone. “Ok.” Agreeing on the writer’s ideas or thoughts. The second is “OK!” Some certain points, because of writer influences the without making clear effect agreeing on the content or matter. Here we have to see, depends on the writer’s expression of the content or the ideas mentioned in the paragraph will make the audience respond.

3. What differences or similarities do you see between your posting and other classmates’ postings?
Some of the classmate’s expressions of the words seem good and others little bit aggressive and crazy. Comparing classmates,  ideas are totally different.
