In a 750-1,000-word paper, create a plan of action to incorporate health promotion strategies for this family. Include the following:
Describe the SDOH that affect the family health status. What is the impact of these SDOH on the family? Discuss why these factors are prevalent for this family.

One thing that I think has changed overtime is the use of technology in healthcare and health promotion. To find information for education you used to have to search through textbooks and journals and other material to create your plan and gather information to relay to your patient. Today looking up resources, diagnosis and interventions is a Google search away where you have thousands of results and information with the click of a button. In my research for this discussion, I came across a study done in 2022 on digital technology in healthcare especially in the older population. One quote from the article that stuck out to me was “Digital technologies may elicit behavioral changes across a range of health conditions that are required to improve disease and medication management among people aged 60 years or above. (De Santis et al., 2022)” I found this profound because the older population is typically the ones diagnosed with one or many conditions. Promotion of health and health management in digital technology may offer patients such as the elderly who may not be able to access care easily, tools to change their lifestyle and take better care of themselves at home to prevent a decline in health or possibly the need to go to doctor or hospital.
